UJI AKTIVITAS MINYAK ATSIRI RIMPANG KUNYIT (Curcuma Longa Linn) PADA TIKUS SPRAGUE DAWLEY MODEL DEMENSIA (Kajian Penghambat Aktivitas Asetilkolinesterase)

400 mg/kg BB). Perlakuan dilakukan selama 29 hari. Pemberian TMT i.p dosis 8 mg/kg BB dilakukan pada hari ke-8 kecuali kelompok normal. Otak tikus diambil dan dipreparasi hingga diperoleh supernatan. Penetapan aktivitas AChE menggunakan reagen kit (katalog #K764-100). Analisis data menggunakan ANOVA dengan Post Hoc LSD. Komponen utama pada minyak atsiri rimpang kunyit hasil analisi GC-MS yaitu ar-tumerone (49,47%), alpha tumerone (19,91%), dan alpha phellandrene (4,24%). Hasil uji penghambatan aktivitas AChE pada kelompok kontrol berbeda tidak bermakna (P>0.05) dibandingkan kelompok normal. Penurunan aktivitas AChE kelompok pemberian citicoline berbeda bermakna (p<0.05) terhadap kelompok kontrol. Penurunan aktivitas AChE otak pada kelompok MARK dosis 200 mg/kgBB dan 400 mg/kgBB berbeda bermakna (p<0.05) dibandingkan kelompok kontrol namun berbeda tidak bermakna pada dosis 100 mg/kgBB. Pemberian minyak atsiri rimpang kunyit mulai dosis 200 mg/kg BB dapat menghambat aktivitas enzim AChE pada tikus model demensia yang diinduksi TMT.
